<div>Help Restore Ram Das’s Cello — A Living Piece of Spiritual History
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This cello once belonged to Ram Dass during his days at Harvard—a living piece of history that held his music, his heart, and his early spiritual journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While he was alive he gave me this cello. We connected because he felt my devotion to music and spiritual life, and he trusted that I would care for this instrument and continue its path of service.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Where the Cello Is Now
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cello is currently on the Big Island at Nathaniel’s Music Shop, where it has been fully assessed. It needs approximately $5,500 in repairs plus flights to &amp; from Big Island for the restoration to bring it back to full playing condition. This work will allow the instrument to not only be preserved, but to sing again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are moments in life that feel like quiet miracles.
</div>
<div>Receiving this cello was one of them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A cello is not just an instrument.
</div>
<div>It is a vessel for longing, devotion, memory, and praise.
</div>
<div>It sings from the chest, from the ribs, from the earth.
</div>
<div>It knows how to ache—and how to soar.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the moment I first touched the wood, it felt warm, as if it had already known prayer… as if it had listened to silence itself, waiting to echo the next heart that held it. When my fingers brushed the strings, something ancient moved inside me. Recognition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Music has always been my language of devotion and healing. When words fall short, the cello speaks. It weeps the uncried tears. It praises what is too beautiful to say. And in its voice, I find my own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Receiving this cello from Ram Dass was not just a gift of music—it was an act of soul recognition. A passing of lineage. A reminder that the path of the heart is not only walked in silence, but also sung, bowed, and breathed into being.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And so I play.
</div>
<div>Not for perfection—only for presence.
</div>
<div>Not for performance—only for prayer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why Your Help Matters
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The restoration will allow this sacred instrument to be offered back into the world—through community events, healing ceremonies, gatherings, and devotional music offerings. Your contribution helps return its voice to the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A Gift Back to Every Donor
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every single donor, no matter the amount, will be invited to a special concert where the restored cello will be played for the first time—its voice returning to life after decades of silence. This will be a celebration not just of music, but of lineage, devotion, and shared community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Imagine…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hearing the restored sound of Ram Dass’s cello—a voice from his past, alive again to uplift the present.
</div>
<div>A sound that carries devotion.
</div>
<div>A sound that carries memory.
</div>
<div>A sound that carries love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you feel called, please help us bring this beautiful instrument back to life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you, truly, for helping restore a piece of living spiritual history.
