<div>I’m fundraising to support Gyanjyoty Rural Development Welfare Trust. This school in Bodhgaya, India, supports children in the local area who would not otherwise attend school.

<div>I visited in 2019 with my family, including my 3 children who were 7, 9 &amp; 10 at the time. We were welcomed by staff and students.

<div>At that time the school needed a battery to store electricity for the times when power was cut off, which happens often. I have recently been made aware that the battery has come to the end of its working life, and is now no longer working. I would very much like to support Ranjan, the head teacher, in replacing this battery.

<div>The school has 280 children on role, as well as 22 orphan children who live on site full time.
</div>

<div>Bodhgaya is a special place. The Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree in this village.
