<div>Hello, this is Ryan Spence from Fifth Floor Tacoma. The skate community in Tacoma has been working to build a citywide network of skateparks since 1996. We are raising money to make repairs and replace poorly constructed skate features at Stewart Heights skatepark (AKA 56th) in South Tacoma.

<div>This park is easily accessed by public transit and is located in a historically under-resourced community.

<div>The park was constructed in 2008 and desperately needs updates. The skate community worked with Parks Tacoma to secure a State RCO Grant to build a new bowl, but there was no funding to update the existing park.
</div>

<div>Since crews are on-site building the bowl, we can do the upgrades to the existing park for only the cost of time and materials. <strong>This means every $1 raised contributes to $4-5 of upgrades.</strong>
</div>

<div>The skatepark builder is contributing $10,000 in in-kind work, and the skate community has raised $10,000. We are hoping to raise $10-20k more. <strong>We need to act fast since work is underway. We hope to have the funds in place by 10/31/25.</strong> Please join us in the first Tacoma skatepark project since 2012.
