<div>On May 5, my 23-year-old sister, Madi, will receive a kidney transplant and my mom is the one donating her kidney to save her life.

</div>

<div>While this is an incredible blessing, it also means a long and difficult recovery for both of them. My mom will be healing from major surgery while also caring for Madi full-time. Madi won’t be able to drive for at least six weeks, so my mom will be handling everything, appointments, daily care, and helping her through recovery.

</div>

<div>With both of them out of work, the financial strain is overwhelming. Between medical expenses, medications, and everyday bills, the costs add up quickly. On top of that, Madi needs a safe and reliable car for her ongoing care. Once she’s cleared, she’ll need to travel to Tampa General three times a week for follow-up appointments.
