<div>While working the job she loves at Epic Universe, my younger sister was unexpectedly struck by a guest and seriously injured. The impact caused major damage to her shoulder and arm, requiring a full shoulder reconstruction. Her labrum and rotator cuff were torn, and the tendons from her elbow to her shoulder socket had to be repaired using eight metal screw anchors.

<div>Because of her injury, she can’t work or drive. And even though the guest was clearly at fault, she’s only receiving a very small amount through workers’ compensation and disability — not enough to keep up with her basic living expenses.
