While working the job she loves at Epic Universe, my younger sister was unexpectedly struck by a guest and seriously injured. The impact caused major damage to her shoulder and arm, requiring a full shoulder reconstruction. Her labrum and rotator cuff were torn, and the tendons from her elbow to her shoulder socket had to be repaired using eight metal screw anchors.

Right now, she has no use of her left arm and is facing a long and painful six-month recovery.

Because of her injury, she can’t work or drive. And even though the guest was clearly at fault, she’s only receiving a very small amount through workers’ compensation and disability — not enough to keep up with her basic living expenses.

Our family is humbly requesting the support of anyone who might be willing to help. My sister is someone who works hard, loves what she does, and we’re grateful for any contribution — no matter the size. It will make a meaningful difference as she focuses on healing.
