<div>Since 1980 at this location and as a whole since 1942 the <strong>Whitmore family</strong> has served Cleveland with barbecue made from love, tradition, and pride. But in the <strong>early morning </strong>of March 3rd, 2026, a<strong> fire</strong> swept through our building, forcing our doors closed and leaving a void in the heart of our community.

<div>Whitmore's has always been more than a restaurant. We are a family. And we have always believed that family extends beyond blood.

<div>We employ those who have a need for employment, people looking for a <strong>second chance</strong>, a <strong>first job</strong>, or simply a place to belong. We give them an <strong>opportunity to work</strong>, learn, and grow in a supportive,<strong> family environment</strong> while serving the community at large. For decades, <strong>we have helped the hungry</strong>, hosted charity events from our own pocket, and made sure no one in our neighborhood went without a hot meal.
