<div>Rebuild Westmoreland, Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Story:
</div>
<div>Hello, my name is Andrei Hastings, and I am a proud native of Westmoreland, Jamaica — a place I still call home no matter where life has taken me. Recently, our beloved parish was devastated by Category 5 Hurricane Melissa, leaving behind unimaginable destruction.
</div>
<div>Having spent much of my life in rural Westmoreland, I know firsthand the challenges our communities faced even before this storm — limited access to resources, fragile housing, and persistent poverty. Now, in the aftermath of Melissa, many families have lost their homes, their livelihoods, and their sense of security.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While communication from Jamaica has been difficult, my conversations with family and friends still on the island paint a heartbreaking picture:
</div>
<div>Homes have been flattened or lost roofs entirely
</div>
<div>Roads and farmlands are washed away
</div>
<div>Families are sheltering in damaged structures with little to no aid<strong>.</strong> That’s why I’ve launched this relief and rebuilding fund for the people of rural Westmoreland.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How the Funds Will Be Used:
</div>
<div>Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping families rebuild their homes and restore hope. Funds will be used to:
</div>
<div>Purchase building materials (lumber, zinc sheets, cement, nails, etc.)
</div>
<div>Hire local professionals (carpenters, masons, and electricians) to rebuild homes
</div>
<div><strong>Assist vulnerable families — those who lost everything</strong>
</div>
<div>Transparency is important to me. I will share updates, photos, and progress reports as rebuilding begins to ensure every contribution is accounted for and makes a tangible difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How You Can Help:
</div>
<div>Please consider donating what you can. Every contribution — no matter the size — brings us closer to helping a family find shelter again.
</div>
<div>If you cannot donate, you can still help by sharing this page with your network. Together, we can help Westmoreland rise again from the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
</div>
<div>❤️ Jamaica will rebuild — one home, one family, one community at a time.
</div>
