<div>Hi, my name is Daniela, and I’m raising funds to support my younger brother Mauricio also known as Lalo after a tragic hit-and-run accident that changed his life.On March 10th, Lalo was hit while riding his motorcycle on Preston Highway. The driver fled the scene and still hasn’t been found. Lalo was left with severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury and a broken pelvis, and was rushed to the ICU, where he remained for over a month.We’re incredibly grateful to share that Mauricio is now awake, but his recovery journey is just beginning. He’s still in the hospital, has undergone multiple surgeries, and will need long-term rehabilitation and care. The timeline is uncertain, but what we do know is that it will be a long road—physically, emotionally, and financially.Lalo is only 19. He had just moved into a new home with me and was starting to build his future. Anyone who knows him would describe him as the life of the party,always smiling, cracking jokes, and lifting up everyone around him. He was a hard worker and even volunteered through his job because that’s just who he is—kind, generous, and full of heart.At the time of the accident, Mauricio didn’t have health insurance, and the medical bills are already overwhelming. My family and I are doing everything we can, but we need help to continue supporting his recovery and to make sure he has the care and resources he needs to heal and regain his life.If you’re able to donate, we are so thankful.
