<div>Every day, nine Australians die by suicide. Every single day. More than 55,000 attempt to take their own lives every year. These aren’t just numbers. They are people, our friends, our family members, our colleagues, and our neighbours. And the crisis is getting worse.

<div>In November 2024, suspected suicides in New South Wales rose by a shocking 56% in just one month, the largest increase in five years. This is not a distant issue. If it hasn’t touched your life yet, it will.

<div>Mowana is a community-led, volunteer-driven organisation that has already supported over 1,250 visitors in just two years. In January alone, we welcomed 97 people into our safe space.  People who needed somewhere to turn before they reached a crisis point.

<div>We operate 100 % through volunteers and have developed our own specialised training program, ensuring that every visitor receives effective, compassionate care. Our impact is real:
