<div>Our dad has always been a strong, hardworking man — a provider, a protector, someone who showed up for his family and anyone who needed him. He spent most of his life working in agriculture, and in recent years he drove trucks to support our family. He is the kind of man who took pride in honest work and caring for others.

<div>He is a father of four children and a grandfather to nine beautiful grandchildren who adore him. Our family is big, close, and full of love — and this diagnosis has brought us even closer together as we stand by him.


</div>

<div>October 14th of this year, our world changed.


</div>

</div>


<div>His diagnosis and fight


</div>


<div>Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, with metastasis to his spine, hip, knees, and brain. He underwent brain surgery and radiation, and although he has faced so much, the doctors keep telling him, “You look so strong.”


</div>

<div>And he truly is — not just physically, but in spirit.


</div>

<div>Even in this battle, he continues to trust God. He prays, he fights, and he holds onto hope with a strength that inspires everyone around him.


</div>

<div>After over a month in the hospital, he is now home. The tumor in his brain affected his eyesight for a while, and although that has improved, he now relies on a wheelchair to protect his knee and spine. Friends, family, and neighbors came together to build a ramp for him — an incredible blessing — but we still need additional home modifications to help him move safely and comfortably.

<div>Nuestro papá siempre ha sido un hombre fuerte y trabajador — un proveedor, un protector, alguien que siempre estaba ahí para su familia y para quien lo necesitara. Trabajó la mayor parte de su vida en la agricultura, y en los últimos años manejó camiones para mantener a nuestra familia. Siempre ha tenido un gran orgullo por su trabajo y por ayudar a los demás.

<div>Él es papá de cuatro hijos y abuelo de nueve nietos que lo aman profundamente. Nuestra familia es grande, unida y llena de cariño — y este diagnóstico nos ha unido aún más mientras caminamos junto a él.

<div>Su diagnóstico y su lucha


</div>


<div>A nuestro papá le diagnosticaron cáncer de pulmón en etapa 4, con metástasis en su columna, cadera, rodillas y cerebro. Pasó por cirugía cerebral y radiación, y aunque ha enfrentado muchísimo, los doctores siguen diciéndole: “Te ves muy fuerte.”

<div>Y es verdad — no solo de cuerpo, sino de espíritu.


</div>

<div>A pesar de todo, él sigue confiando en Dios. Ora, lucha y mantiene su esperanza con una fortaleza que inspira a todos los que lo rodean.

<div>Después de mas de un mes en el hospital, ya está en casa. El tumor afectó su vista por un tiempo, y aunque ha mejorado, ahora depende de una silla de ruedas para proteger su rodilla y columna. Amigos, familiares y vecinos se unieron para construirle una rampa — un regalo hermoso — pero aún necesitamos más modificaciones en el hogar para ayudarlo a moverse con seguridad.
