<div>I have been accepted into the AustraliaEMS International Paramedic Professional Development Tour in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas, from June to July 2026. I am one of 20 Australian paramedic students selected to go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This program is separate to my university placement. It gives me extra time on road mid-year, to keep my skills fresh before I start my university placement at the end of year. I want more real-world exposure so I keep building clinical judgement, calm decision making, and broaden my perspectives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What the program involves</strong>
</div>
<div>The core of the tour is clinical exposure through ride along shifts with USA paramedics in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
</div>
<ul>
<li>8 x 12-hour unpaid ride along shifts

<li>Learn from senior EMS leaders and Medical Directors in Dallas Fort Worth
</li>
<li>Spend time in a live 911 call centre
</li>
<li>Observe rescue helicopter operations
</li>
<li>Complete ride along shifts with ambulance services and fire paramedic rescue units departments

</li>
</ul>

</div>
<div><strong>Why I am fundraising</strong>
</div>
<div>This tour is self-funded and the costs are significant. I also need to pay the program fee in instalments across the next few months, so I am raising funds to cover the essentials and secure my place.

</div>
<div><strong>Why this matters to me</strong>
</div>
<div>On top of my Paramedic Studies I volunteer in surf lifesaving, where clear thinking and strong communication matter. This experience will strengthen how I operate under pressure and support my development across study, training, and service and will increase my experiences to help me deliver the best content to young lifesavers on lifesaving programs.

</div>
<div><strong>How you can help</strong>
</div>
<div>Any contribution helps if you are unable to contribute, sharing this page helps heaps!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Money will go to covering the program essentials first.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for backing my development and helping me take up this opportunity.
