Hi, my name is Eden, and I am a family friend of Renee Iron Hawk, a Lakota elder living on the Cheyenne River reservation currently struggling with paying for a surgery to save her vision. Despite having health insurance with the IHS, they have refused to cover this surgery and are expecting her to pay out of pocket. Simply put, financial resources and income on the reservation are not what they are in the city, and $1,500 dollars is prohibitively expensive for her. Please help by giving what you can.
