<div>The Play for a Purpose Mini Sticks Tournament is a student-led fundraiser created by the Englert Family and the Kids Lacrosse Committee at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School.

<div>On December 11th, 2025, students will come together to play mini sticks, build community, and raise money for an organization that is changing lives across Uganda: Kids Lacrosse Africa (KLA).

</div>

<div>KLA uses the sport of lacrosse to open doors to education, mentorship, leadership development, and community for more than 300 children in Uganda — with over 20 full scholarships provided each year, partnerships with seven schools, and programs that offer meals, coaching, and safe spaces for kids to learn and grow.

</div>

</div>

<div>In 2026, KLA will expand into the underserved regions of Adjumani and Palisa, launch a Coaches Leadership Academy, and provide even more scholarships and community programs — all of which requires support.

</div>

<div>All proceeds from this Mini Sticks Tournament will go directly to Kids Lacrosse Africa.

</div>
