My name is Leah, Our dear friend, Emily Santiago, a third-year Education major, recently experienced an unimaginable loss when a fire at the University Gardens Apartments near the University of California, Riverside severely impacted her home. In a matter of moments, Emily lost nearly all of her belongings, including her clothing, shoes, school supplies, personal items, and many of the everyday necessities that most of us rely on without a second thought.
