<div>Following a recent public meeting held in The Village Hall, you may now be aware of the proposed auction of a seven-acre field lying between Norton and Lenchwick.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If this takes place, then there is a distinct possibility that some outside speculators may consider it a good investment, with the hope of value in mind that significant residential development could be obtained sometime in the future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is the view of many residents who were at the meeting that here we have a significant and once in a lifetime opportunity for The Parish to purchase this land.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Objectives:</strong> to purchase the land and incorporate it within the trust for the benefit of The Parish in perpetuity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Plan of Campaign:</strong> The issue is simple; the objectives are crystal clear but sadly the road could be blocked without sufficient funds being raised from The Parish Households. If we can raise a minimum of £50,000 from our own resources, then there is a distinct possibility that with the addition of outside loans a purchase can be made.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Conclusion:</strong> This is a funding request to all residents of The Parish asking everyone to participate by making a contribution of financial support. We have already received some very generous donations of between £25 - £5,000
