<div>Noah Cuevas García, nuestro amado «Niño Cohete», quien ya cumplió tres años, requiere nuevamente de la solidaridad de muchos para seguir en órbita rumbo a su sanación completa Y es que, casi un año después de su compleja primera cirugía, debe ser sometido con carácter de urgencia a una segunda intervención quirúrgica con la finalidad de extraer una lesión recidivante de cavernoma en el cuarto ventrículo de su pequeño cerebro.

<div>Esta segunda intervención, tan delicada y costosa como la realizada en junio del año pasado, se ha hecho necesaria tras un resangrado sufrido por nuestro hijo a finales del mes de febrero en el área de su cabecita donde se practicó la primera cirugía, provocando un severo cuadro neurológico que obligó a su hospitalización y a permanecer en cuidados intensivos durante cuatro angustiosos días.Si bien al día de hoy —mayo de 2026— los síntomas han retrocedido ante el acertado tratamiento médico y Noah disfruta de una vida aparentemente normal, la causa raíz debe ser atendida a la brevedad, pues la reaparición del cavernoma pone en riesgo su salud y su vida, ya que otro sangrado como el sufrido en febrero, podría tener consecuencias fatales.

<div>Es por ello que nuevamente, con la misma humildad y agradecimiento de hace un año, nos vemos en la necesidad de convocar su generosidad para recaudar los fondos necesarios, toda vez que, al igual que en la primera ocasión, la cirugía debe realizarse en un centro privado debido a su complejidad y al estado de crisis del sistema de salud venezolano. En esta oportunidad, el costo de la intervención, incluyendo honorarios médicos y el alquiler de equipos sofisticados de monitoreo neurofisiológico, asciende a 27.000 dólares; adicionalmente, debemos cubrir gastos pre y postoperatorios, así como nuestra estadía en Caracas, lejos de casa. Por esta razón, hemos actualizado la meta de la campaña a 55.000 dólares. Es importante aclarar que los casi 19.000 dólares recaudados el año pasado se destinaron íntegramente al pago de la primera intervención, por lo que la cifra total que necesitamos recaudar es en realidad de 35.000 dólares.

<div>Noah Cuevas Garcia, our beloved Rocket Boy, who is already three years old, needs the kindness of many people to stay on track to his full recovery. The thing is that, almost a year after his first surgery, he must be urgently put through a second surgery to extract a recurrent cavernoma in the fourth ventricle of his little brain.

<div>This 2nd surgery, as delicate and pricey as the one he went through last June, is now needed due to a rebleeding suffered by our son in late February in his head where the first surgery happened, triggering severe neurological symptoms that got him to the hospital for 4 dreadful days. even though today, May 2026, the symptoms have lessened because of the medical treatments and Noah seemingly enjoying a normal life, the cause for the symptoms must be addressed soon. The reappearing of the cavernoma puts his health and life on the line, because another bleeding, like the one from February, could have fatal consequences.

<div>This is why again, with the same humility and gratefulness we had last year, we need to ask for your generosity to gather the funds needed. The surgery must be done in a private center due to its complexity and the Venezuelan healthcare crisis. The cost for the surgery is around 27,000 USD. We also need to cover for expenses before and after the surgery, and our staying in Caracas, far from home. For this reason, we’ve updated the goal to 55,000 USD. But the 19,000 USD gathered last year went only to the first surgery’s cost, so the total number we must get is 35,000 USD.
