<div>Verizon wants to build a <strong>45 FOOT TALL CELL TOWER</strong> at the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and Argus Dr., next to My Vegan restaurant.

<div>This would be a gross violation of <strong>The Colorado Boulevard Specific Plan</strong>. The Specific Plan is a law that was passed 32 years ago. It exists to protect the character and charm of Eagle Rock’s main boulevard. Verizon knows this but is trying to circumvent the law in multiple ways.

<div>No one in our community had a chance to voice their opposition to the cell tower project because the Department of City Planning cancelled the public hearing about it, and led us to believe that the project was not moving forward.

<div>Members of the neighborhood have been organizing to stop this project. It has become clear that hiring a professional land use consultant with a deep understanding of the complex web of city/state/federal regulations to lead our campaign will dramatically improve our chances of success. We have also had to hire an attorney.

<div>The only way we can stop the installation of this monstrosity is if as many of us as possible get involved. Five households have already contributed $500 each for a total of $2500!
