<div>I’m Siera Deshishku, the director of the documentary "1 Room" and a member of Project Maat since 2015, an project dedicated to helping families living in poverty.

<div>It’s been four months of deep commitment to this project. I was told that working with such a heavy topic becomes easier with time, but it never did.

</div>

<div>It’s one thing to hear about poverty, and something else entirely to see with your own eyes how our people are living.

</div>

<div>Please, help these families who showed so much sincerity and vulnerability during the interviews. As much as someone might need help, it’s incredibly difficult to accept it, let alone ask for it.
