</div>

<div>Por Gerlymar Barrios

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a:

</div>

</div>

<div>	•	Medicamentos, tratamientos y seguimientos antes y después del procedimiento

</div>

<div>	•	Traslados, consultas y cuidado postoperatorio

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Con esperanza y gratitud,

</div>

<div> Help Me Win This Battle: Fighting Diabetes and Kidney Failure

</div>

<div>By Gerlymar Barrios

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My name is Gerlymar Barrios, I’m Venezuelan, and I’ve been living in Atlanta, United States, for the past 5 years.

</div>

<div>Since the age of 9, I’ve lived with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, a condition that changed my life forever. What began with fainting spells, uncontrollable thirst, and a weakened body quickly turned into a diagnosis that marked the beginning of a long journey for my health… and for my life.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Over the years, diabetes has taken its toll: high blood pressure, vision loss, hearing loss… until reaching a critical point: severe kidney failure. Today, my greatest hope is a kidney transplant. It’s not a cure, but it’s a new chance at life.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’m currently in the active search for a compatible kidney donor. This part of the process is delicate and uncertain, but I face it with faith. I believe that somewhere out there, someone may be willing to give me the chance to keep living.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Despite the pain, physical limitations, and emotional loneliness that often accompany this condition, I’m still here—working, fighting, and believing. I’m grateful that I can still care for myself, and I hold a deep desire to live in health, fulfill my purpose, embrace my family, reach my goals, and continue helping others.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Dialysis keeps me stable for now, but time is critical. That’s why, now more than ever, I need your support.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> The funds raised will go toward:

</div>

<div>	•	Medical evaluations and transplant preparation

</div>

<div>	•	Medications, treatments, and follow-up care before and after surgery

</div>

<div>	•	Transportation, consultations, and post-operative care

</div>

<div>	•	Emotional and logistical support throughout the entire process

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> If you can help, I will be forever grateful.

</div>

<div>And if you’re unable to donate, sharing my story is also an act of love. Every gesture matters.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for reading, for feeling with me, and for being part of this battle for life.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With hope and gratitude,

</div>

<div>Gerlymar Barrios

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>
