Because as you know, people in Gaza have no connection to the outside world and need someone who is living abroad to facilitate the process for them. <div>My name is Layla Salma, and I am 23 years old. Since I was just two years old, my life has been defined by war. Growing up in Gaza, I have endured repeated conflicts, trauma, and loss. The recent war has destroyed what little stability I had left.

<div>I recently graduated with a degree in English Literature, and I had dreams of pursuing a master's degree in journalism to build a peaceful future. However, instead of preparing for my studies, I now find myself living in a tent with my elderly parents after our home was destroyed. 
</div>

<div>My father's health has deteriorated rapidly, and both of my parents—too old and frail for such harsh living conditions—are in desperate need of proper shelter and care. I am their sole caregiver. The war has also taken away my opportunity to continue my education, leaving my future uncertain.

<div>I am seeking to raise CAD $50,000 to secure a safe home for my family, cover medical expenses, and resume my studies. More than anything, I dream of finally escaping the constant cycle of war and pain—to have the chance to live a normal life, just like anyone else.
