<div>Full story: My siblings and my mother have been <strong>emotionally, financially, and religiously abused</strong> by my father. He'd belittle our faith with his own, hide almost all finances, and refuse to connect with his children as well as insult our mother to them. This happened for <strong>years</strong> until he moved out at the end of 2020. My mom hoped to divorce him after a year of separation so that we could finally move on.

<div>Despite several attempts at a clean, quick divorce, my father adamantly refused and complicated the process by hiring an attorney. Since then, he's made matters worse by:

<ul>
<li>Filing a lawsuit <em>filled</em> with erroneous, unprovable claims.
</li>
<li>Filing for temporary custody despite never trying to visit or contact the children. An expensive and <em>wholly unnecessary</em> hearing is needed to resolve this temporary custody.
</li>
<li>Reducing the '<em>allowance</em>' he gives my mom to a near-unlivable amount.
</li>
<li>Allowing our landowner to relinquish our house's deed to a local church, while he lives on a lot paid for by his parents. <strong>On</strong> <strong>August 1st, we'll be evicted because of this.</strong>

<div>All of these things make for an <strong>extremely difficult</strong> living situation and forces us towards destitution. I have already spent nearly $10,000 of my own money on legal fees but it hasn't done much and we're at a critical juncture.

<div><strong><em>My father cannot be allowed to succeed. </em></strong>The consequences are dire. If he wins this legal battle, he'll gain custody of the two youngest children (aged 14 and 8) and impoverish the rest of the family. He is an unstable, schizophrenic, narcissistic man who never showed care for his children before this case. He <em>cannot</em> gain custody. If we're broke, we can't stop that.

<div>My oldest siblings and I want to find jobs to help fund this ourselves but our only vehicle is on its last legs and the price of gasoline is outrageous these days. Jobs within walking distance are unsafe thanks to where we live and they don't pay well. We'd move to a better location but my father disallowed it.
