<div>I am a mother navigating CPTSD, panic disorder, and chemical sensitivities after 26 years of abuse at the hands of my daughter's father. Currently, I am forced to cohabitate with him as roommates because the local housing crisis is out of reach on my stable $1,600/month income.

<div>Because the system does not recognize non-physical, psychological, or financial abuse as grounds for abuse and thus, prioritized assistance, I have been left on my own to find a way out.

<div>This is my self-directed escape plan, and I am making real progress:

<div>Job Training Breakthrough: After two years of searching, I have secured a reliable job coach at a local agency. We are currently finalizing funding for my career training to increase my income.

<div>Somatic Healing: I am actively working with a somatic practitioner to overcome my PTSD and panic disorder so I can safely drive, work, and navigate the world again.
</div>

</div>
<div>Controlled Environment: I have established firm, counselor-backed boundaries in the home to keep the environment as stable as possible for my daughter while we build our bridge out.
</div>

</div>
<div>Specific Housing Need:  Because of my chemical sensitivities (I cannot tolerate synthetic fragrances, perfumes, or dryer sheets) and trauma recovery, shared apartment complexes or standard roommate situations are a direct threat to my health. I am seeking a private, stable, fragrance-free rental, such as a Mother-in-Law (MIL) suite, cottage, or small home.

I have heard her husband abruptly yelling (through the phone) over what should have been trivial matters. His tone is loud and jarring.
