<div>Sin embargo, hace unos meses comencé a presentar debilidad muscular en mis piernas y brazos, tropiezos y pérdida de fuerza... Tras múltiples estudios y consultas médicas, recibí el diagnóstico de Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA).

<div>La ELA es una enfermedad neurológica degenerativa que afecta las neuronas motoras y provoca debilidad progresiva en todos los músculos, no tiene cura y requiere tratamiento permanente (Es la misma enfermedad que tuvo Stephen Hawking).

<div>Los fondos recaudados serán destinados para mi tratamiento permanente:

<div>*Medicamento principal: Riluzol 50 mg, 2 tabletas diarias. Con un costo aproximado de $20,000 a $24,000 MXN por caja/mes y debo tomarlo de por vida (USD +$1,200 al mes)

<div>*Otros medicamentos: Duloxetina 30mg, 1 tab diaria. $800 pesos MXN por caja/mes (USD +$50 al mes).

<div>*Consultas con especialistas: neurólogo, psicología, genetista, nutrición... Que van desde $800 MXN por consulta. (Recibo mínimo 3 consultas al mes, USD +$200)

<div>*Estudios frecuentes como laboratorios, electromiografías y resonancias

<div>*Fisioterapia y rehabilitación neuro-motora diaria, aprox. $500 MXN por sesión. (USD +$600 al mes)

<div>*Equipo especializado para terapia y ayuda en casa (Silla de ruedas, andadera, electroestimulador, pasamanos...)

<div>*Cualquier tratamiento que contribuya a ralentizar el avance de la enfermedad

<div>Como Chef, mi profesión requiere fuerza y resistencia continua.

<div>La enfermedad ha avanzado y me ha generado una discapacidad que me impide mantener cualquier trabajo, incluso desde casa, ya que esta afectando mis 4 extremidades. Además el tratamiento me provoca mareos y somnolencia que me dificultan cumplir jornadas.

<div>Mi esposa ha asumido varios trabajos para cubrir los gastos médicos y del hogar, pero aun con su enorme esfuerzo, los costos son constantes y superan nuestras posibilidades.
