<div>Some of you already know about Adam’s recent medical adventures. He was diagnosed with RCP-D (Retrograde Cricopharyngeal Dysfunction), which, in plain English, means… he can’t burp!

<div>It sounds funny (and a bit odd) since it’s something most of us do without even thinking – and let’s be honest, what a relief it is when we do. But not being able to burp comes with some pretty unpleasant side effects: painful bloating, chest pain, relentless flatulence (!) and even social anxiety.

<div>The only treatment – which unfortunately isn’t covered by health insurance – is a direct oesophagoscopy with a botulinum toxin injection into the cricopharyngeus muscle. In short: Botox to the throat.

<div>Adam had the procedure back in May. It brought a few small, temporary improvements, but sadly didn’t have the lasting results we'd hoped for. The doctor has now confirmed he’ll need a second go in September. Again, the costs won’t be covered by health insurance.

<div>With me on parental leave until March 2026, money is pretty tight at the moment, so I thought I’d reach out to Adam’s extended “family” to see if you can help. If you’re able to donate towards his next treatment, no matter how small, we promise to reward you with free burp video content for life!
