<div>Luciana is thirteen years old, she was born in New York, and we moved to Connecticut four years ago. Luciana is an 8th grader, and she is a high honor student. She loves sports; her favorites are soccer and basketball. She also loves Art, and drawing is one of her favorite hobbies.

<div>Luciana has lots of friends. She is a kind, loving girl who is lovely to us and everyone she knows. She is a selfless person. She has the biggest heart and cares about others.

<div>On April 28th, Luciana was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia/MDS at Yale Hospital. We noticed lots of changes in her; she had been tired, bruised easily, and she was also dizzy and looked pale, so we decided to take her for a check-up; she had some labs done, and that same day we had a call from her doctor saying that her counts were low and we needed to take her to Yale right away, since then Luciana's life change drastically, she became transfusion dependent.

<div>One month later, Luciana did ATG, a drug made of antibiotics that suppressed the immune system. It's been almost six months since her ATG started, and unfortunately, her counts are still down, so she will need a Bone Marrow Transplant very soon. With the Bone Marrow Transplant, Luciana can live her everyday life again and do what she loves the most: playing soccer and basketball.

<div>It's a long process, and even though we have insurance, there are lots of medical bills to pay, so we decided to open a GoFundMe account to help us alleviate some of our financial stress and to focus only on Luciana's recovery. Luciana is a very strong girl; she is a fighter, and we are so proud of her.
