<div>Hi, I'm Glenn Andreiev, a Long Island-based filmmaker and film historian. I am producing <strong>LONG ISLAND 70's</strong>, a feature documentary about one of the most fascinating decades in the region’s history—the 1970s.

<div>What made Long Island in the 1970s so unique? Families moving from New York City to Nassau and Suffolk brought a rich mix of cultures and influences that helped shape a generation of artists and musicians.
</div>
<div>Long Island became home to legends like Billy Joel and Harry Chapin, with a thriving live music scene in local clubs like <strong>My Father's Place</strong>, <strong>Hammerheads</strong> and <strong>Spit</strong>.
</div>

<div>Beyond music, the Island featured independent theaters, (<strong>The Cinema Arts Centre, Uniondale Mini Cinema</strong>) bustling malls like <strong>Walt Whitman Mall</strong> and <strong>Smith Haven Mall</strong>, and a vibrant community atmosphere.
</div>
<div>But there was another side as well. The film also explores darker chapters, including organized crime and the Amityville Horror, and how they became part of Long Island’s folklore.

<div>This documentary is about preserving a remarkable era before it fades from memory. Through interviews with musicians, historians, business owners, and residents, we’ll tell the story of a place that helped shape American culture. Please check out the film's trailer (which is posted here)
