<div>Anyone who knows my Aunt Jan (Jan Jenkins), knows her strength, kindness, and resilience. She has always been the one to show up for others &amp; now it’s our turn to rally around her.

<div>On September 2nd, my aunt (Jan Jenkins) went into abdominal surgery to remove a questionable mass. What should have been an outpatient procedure, ended up with an overnight stay. During surgery, doctors discovered a ruptured tumor. While they were able to remove part of the tumor, some of it could not be taken out because it is located on an artery.

<div>On September 5th, path results came back. Jan is diagnosed with malignant sarcoma and now faces ongoing treatment including specialist oncology care, chemotherapy, and long-term recovery.

<div>Because of this diagnosis, Jan will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. The weight of medical expenses, everyday bills, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead is overwhelming.
</div>
