<div>It takes a village, and she is a huge part of mine.

<div>And maybe yours too. Lisa helps organize groups to feed the unhoused; she helps collect donations of clothing, food, and blankets. She is a selfless human being who has had a tough year. She literally will give you the sweater off her back and the hat on her head, but the universe has been unkind.

<div>It’s been one thing after another, and she has rolled with it. But it’s finally culminating in an emergency repair due to a very rusted 20” cast iron pipe in her house. <strong>Above and beyond the cost of her deductible, the costs to repair the bathroom and the sewage system will exceed $9,000.</strong>

</div>
<div>In her own words — I heard dripping Monday that sounded like pings on a duct. I was worried about the roof. Followed the sound into the unused bathroom. The tub was overflowing, and the toilet was as well. They removed the toilet and put a camera down after pumping the wastewater out. The main out-of-pocket is replacing 20' of waste pipe that is very old cast iron. The part up to the joint was replaced with PVC 7 years ago. That connection is completely separated now. I also need to add an outdoor sewer line access; they couldn't find one. Hence pulling the toilet off.

</div>
<div>The ceramic tiles, subfloor, insulation, and drywall all need to be replaced to prevent mold.

<div>We as a community can help to lift her up and get her home back into order. Please help me help my friend. <strong>Your friend. Our friend, Lisa.</strong>
