<div>I am a veterinarian in Minnesota and am hoping to raise enough money for one of my patients to get cataracts surgery. Buddy is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix that was diagnosed with diabetes 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately his bilateral cataracts came on very quickly after diagnosis and he has been blind ever since.

<div>Buddy has been doing well since his diabetes diagnosis! His glucose numbers are right where we want them and he is a happy little guy. However, since he is totally blind, he has a hard time getting around and his owner is concerned about his quality of life.

<div>Buddy's dad lost his wife about 2 years ago and Buddy is all he has left of her. He promised her he would take good care of her dog and has done a great job in fulfilling his promise thus far. However, he cannot afford the bilateral cataracts surgery that would improve Buddy's quality of life. He is a veteran and cancer survivor who is dealing with his own medical bills while trying to do his best for Buddy.
