<div>Hi my name is Sonya and my aim is to bring my son Dale home.

<div>To do this I will need to get my house modified with a ground floor extension built.

<div>On the 28th July 2023 one of the worst phonecalls a mother could possibly receive.
</div>
<div>My son Dale had been in a near fatal incident,he was out on his bike that Friday evening when he got knocked off it and took a bang to his head.
</div>
<div>He underwent life saving surgery in Beaumont hospital that night and was put on a life support machine as his injury was so severe.
</div>
<div>He had a TBI(traumatic brain injury)and we were told he only had a 2% chance of surviving.
</div>
<div>Dale was unable to breath by himself for the following 12 months after the incident and during that time he has had 4 major brain surgeries since ,including a shunt been fitted in Dale's head while in Beaumont hospital.

<div>Dale spent 13 months in between Beaumont and Connolly hospital up until August of this year to were he is now at the NRH national rehab hospital in Dun laoghaire.
</div>
<div>To this day my son is unable to relate back to us as his whole quality of life has been taken from him at a very young age.
</div>
<div>This has had an horrific impact on our daily lives including his 10 year old Brother Brodie who missis him dearly everyday.
</div>
<div>We as a family need to support Dale and are at his bedside everyday to try give him strength while in the care of the great team in the NRH.
</div>

<div>We are now at a stage were dales time will come to an end in this facility and would love nothing more than to bring my son home to were he belongs.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately Dale's needs won't allow this at the moment as he needs 24hrs care and a modified home for his needs which include a ground floor bedroom with a ceiling hoist and an accessible bathroom which is essential for his needs and to reunite Dale with his family.
</div>
<div>To do this work we were quoted an estimated 120000euro for it to be carried out.
</div>

<div>They say the home is were the heart is but Dale if you are not here with us then my heart will never be either.
</div>
