<div>You may have seen her on the streets of Boone – the big hippie van with all the stickers. Her name was Miss Lucille, and she was a local landmark.

<div>​For her driver, Kiyonah Thundersong, Miss Lucille was so much more than a van. She was a partner. After years of struggle, Kiyonah had finally figured out how to be financially stable by becoming a delivery driver. In Miss Lucille, she found not just a job, but a calling.

<div>​She absolutely loved delivering food and packages for our community, being a friendly face and a light in someone's day. That work, and that van, was her refuge, her stability, and her joy.

<div>​On July 15th, Miss Lucille was destroyed in a fire.

<div>​Since that day, Kiyonah has been unable to work. The stability she fought so hard to build is gone. She is now completely broke and on the edge of survival.

<div>​This is an emergency. This is a call for community solidarity and mutual aid to help our neighbor get back on her feet, and get back to the work she loves.
