<div>My name is kim and this is a situation me my boyfriend never thought we would ever experience and I are facing the very real possibility of homelessness as we head into the new year. After months of ongoing issues with our landlord and my boyfriend struggling to secure steady work, we’ve reached a point we never imagined we’d be in.

<div>My name is Daniel, and I’m struggling with how we ended up in this situation. I believed my responsibility was to work hard and make sure the rent and bills were always paid so we could stay secure. Taking a commission-based job resulted in a full month without pay, and that gap put us in a position we couldn’t recover from on our own. Kim did everything she could, but it became too much for one person.

<div>I take accountability for the choices I made, and I’m actively looking for stable employment so this doesn’t happen again. Right now, we’re just trying to get through this critical moment and avoid losing our home.

<div>If anyone is able and willing to help, any donation would go directly toward stabilizing our living situation and keeping us housed while I secure steady work.

<div>We also have our cat, she means everything to us, and the thought of having nowhere safe or warm for all of us is terrifying. We don’t have family we can turn to, and we’ve been relying solely on each other for support while trying to figure out our next steps.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but right now we’re scared and unsure of what’s coming. Asking for help is not something we ever thought we’d have to do, but if anyone is able and willing to help in any way, it would mean more than we can put into words.

<div>Anything at all could help us avoid starting the new year without a home. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any kindness or support you’re able to offer.
