<div>Aloha, my name is Grace Young. I was born and raised in Wainiha on the North Shore of Kauaʻi and now live in Wailua Homestead with my family — myself, my two daughters, their father, and two grandmothers, six people on one property.

<div>Hurricane Lowell struck Kauaʻi on Monday September 8, 2026 and devastated our island. We lost power for 4 days and are now facing the costs of recovery.

<div>We are grateful our family is safe. Once our basic needs are covered, any additional funds will go directly back to our community. We have already delivered 400+ lbs of ice to Kekaha, partnered with Kauaʻi Bites to feed first responders and essential workers, distributed 2 pallets of ice with Mālama Kauaʻi, and will be volunteering with the food bank in Anahola on September 15.
