<div>On August 7th, Aarin was admitted into the ICU after weeks of headaches, vision changes, and excruciating pain.

<div>After CT scans, an MRI, and vials of bloodwork drawn, she was diagnosed with <strong>Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST)</strong>. CVST is a rare form of stroke that causes blood clots to form in the sinus veins of her brain.

<div>Aarin has since been released to home, but her recovery is going to be long and slow. She is on blood thinners for an undetermined amount of time.

</div>

<div>She will be out of work for at least 6 weeks and will slowly upgrade her work time as she can handle it. Aarin was already struggling with keeping up at work as a UX/UI designer in those weeks before the hospital because of the stress and lack of sleep.

</div>

<div>She can do limited activities and needs intermittent breaks as she still gets headaches, dizzy spells, vision issues, etc.

</div>

<div>Aarin is already on the path to making big lifestyle changes to lessen stress and help her brain heal. She will be required to have follow-up scans and appointments with her primary care doctor, neurologist, and hematologist.
