<div>My nephew, Justin Diaz, drove to work an overtime shift at LaGuardia airport on February 26. Just after 4:10 a.m., Michael Pena, a drunk and high off-duty firefighter, sped at 83 mph and blew a red light on Northern Boulevard in Queens, killing Justin.

<div>Pena, according to the District Attorney, partied from 6 p.m. on February 25 and killed my nephew the following morning. Two passengers in Pena’s car did not stop him from driving.

<div>We buried Justin at 23 years old. He had just received his degree in aeronautics and was looking forward to a bright future.
