<div>My wife, Pahola Ortega, who has legal status in the United States, was unjustly detained by ICE without being given the opportunity to present her full documentation or receive the due process that every person deserves. Everything happened suddenly, without a clear explanation, and without considering her legal standing or her professional history.

<div>Before this situation, Pahola was a dedicated, hardworking, and exceptional professional.

<div>She worked as a banker at Wells Fargo, where she became the number one performer in her position for two consecutive years.

<div>That level of excellence shows exactly who she is: disciplined, ethical, and committed.

<div>We lost our home, our belongings, and our financial stability.
</div>
<div>But we have not lost our determination or our belief that humanity and justice still matter.
