<div>We recognize this is very last minute, and we feel like even so, if the community comes together in solidarity we can make this happen.

<div><strong>We’re reaching out to people, businesses, and organizations that operate within the North End </strong>and are asking for some<strong> financial acts of solidarity </strong>as we join the call to action on Monday from Africville descendants and the larger community.

<div>In this Gofundme, we have attached the event poster as well as a brief information overview of the history of Africville and how that is affecting the community presently.

<div>We are looking for people to come together and <strong>support the costs it will take to cover expenses, primarily food and compensation, for the local Black business owners providing it and their staff </strong>as they work to nourish the gatherers.

<div>Africville was a <strong>historic Black community </strong>in the <strong>North End</strong> that was forcibly pushed out and dispersed by the city of Halifax.
</div>

</div>
<div>To this day, descendants of Africville have moved in the North End are being further gentrified while other people, organizations, and businesses move in.
</div>

</div>
<div>We’re asking people to send any amount to offset the costs of this call to action. <strong>We have already raised $500</strong> to put towards this in our own efforts, but we need your help to feed the communities coming out for this event
