<div>Hello, my name is Salemu Alimasi, Overseer of Shalom at Sayuni Nursery &amp; Primary School in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, southwestern Uganda — one of the world’s oldest and largest refugee camps.

<div>In 2023, we opened our doors to serve 120 children from Congolese, Burundian, and many other backgrounds — many experiencing schools for the first time. Though full of potential, our school lacks basic resources.
