More information on United Way: As schools and businesses continue to shut down in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, many children and families are left wondering how they’ll cover basic needs such as rent, mortgage, childcare, and food. The Utah COVID-19 Community Response Fund supports organizations working with individuals who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus, and the potentially devastating economic consequences of the outbreak on low-income families and individuals. It is designed to expand local nonprofit organizations’ capacity to address the economic impact on our communities’ most vulnerable citizens.  Based on current needs, the fund will support programs and services including: • Rent and mortgage assistance • Crisis nurseries and childcare • Healthcare services for under/uninsured • 211 Information and Referral Funds will be distributed to the United Ways of Utah.
