<div>I am writing to share the heartbreaking news of the unexpected passing of Jason Smith, affectionately known as J Smooth, who left us on August 3, 2025, in Bossier City, LA, at the age of 46. Jason was not only a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, but he also touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

<div>Born on October 4, 1979, in Bossier City, Jason dedicated his life to working as a skilled dealer in the vibrant casinos of the Shreveport and Bossier areas. He had a profound love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. Jason is survived by his mother, Debbie Smith; his brother, Justin Smith (Amanda Smith); his sister, Jennifer Smith Starks (Charles Starks); as well as a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, William Smith, and his brother, Randy Smith.

<div>A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date to honor Jason's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with the costs of cremation and other services through a GoFundMe Funeral Service.
