<div>On September 2, 2025, our family lost a beloved soul far too soon. James “Butchie” Whaley passed suddenly in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity that touched everyone who knew him.

<div>Butchie was so many things—a devoted husband, a proud father, a veteran who served his country, and a truck driver who worked hard to provide. He was a Christian man, active in his church, and he lived with a joy that was contagious. If you knew him, you know that his smile could light up any room. It took a lot to get him down, and he was the kind of man everyone could count on.

<div>He was the uncle who always had a dollar or two in his pocket for the kids, the friend who would lend a hand without hesitation, and the family member who reminded us—through his actions—that kindness and generosity are what matter most.
