<div>We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend Jamaica is currently in the ICU (intensive care unit) and going through a serious medical emergency that will require ongoing care.

<div>Her friends, community and family are coming together to help collect funds as a form of relief.

<div>The diagnosis is still very fresh. Tests and results are ongoing in and she is currently undergoing critical (medical) treatment at a specialized hospital in Brandenburg.

<div>Her sisters have just arrived to Berlin from California and the Philippines to support her.
</div>

</div>
<div>We want to deeply respect her privacy, as she hasn't had the time or space to process the ongoing situation, and it wouldn't feel right to share more before she's ready.

<div>What we can say is that it is serious, and the road ahead is long.
</div>
<div>And the medical situation has exacerbated over the last half year in an unexpected way.
</div>

</div>
<div>Because Jamaica is a musician, her income doesn't exist without her being physically present. No stage, no work, no pay.
</div>
<div>And though Jamaica has asked the doctors about going back to tour, this won't be medically possible soon.
</div>
<div>There is no sick leave or salary running for her in the background.
