<div><strong>Hurricane Melissa has devastated Jamaica in a way the country has rarely experienced.</strong>

<div>Entire regions are without power, running water, or basic essentials — and <strong>many families have been displaced from the only place they have ever called home.</strong>

<div>Our family’s district of <strong>Thornton, Saint Elizabeth</strong>, and the neighboring community of <strong>Borewood</strong> were hit especially hard.

<div>This is a <strong>small, close-knit community </strong>where neighbors care for one another, where elders are protected, and where land and family homes carry <strong>generations of history.</strong>

<div>But today, many of these same families cannot help themselves or each other.
</div>

</div>
<div>Roofs are gone. Foundations have shifted. Walls have collapsed.
</div>
<div>Homes that stood for decades crumbled in a matter of hours.
</div>

<div><strong>We're starting this fundraiser to help three families who urgently need support</strong> — families who simply cannot rebuild on their own.

</div>

</div>
<div>	•	Their entire home was reduced to rubble during the storm.

</div>
<div>	•	The only room she can safely stay in is her bathroom — the rest of her home is unsafe.

<div><strong>She is elderly, alone, and unable to rebuild without help.</strong>
