My name is Ahmed Shaheen, a father of four children who have already endured too much. I carry the scars of a physical injury that has changed my life, but my greatest wound is the helplessness I feel when I see my children shivering from the biting cold.

In the midst of this darkness, I have taken it upon myself to be a beacon of hope for my relatives and neighbors who are suffering just as we are. Despite my injury and our shared hunger, I have been a volunteer and an initiator, working tirelessly to gather donations and support for those around me in the displacement camps.
