<div>On Friday, June 27th, our beloved neighborhood cat Freddy was brutally mauled by two pit bulls in Washington Heights. Witnesses reported that these dogs were encouraged to attack him by cruel individuals.

<div>Freddy wasn’t just any stray — he was a friendly, loving cat who belonged to a local business. He stayed close to his territory and brought joy to everyone who passed by. Freddy greeted neighbors, brought smiles to children, and was loved by an entire community.

<div>Tragically, his gentle spirit did not protect him from this senseless act of violence. He didn’t know that simply roaming around people he trusted would become a death sentence. Freddy’s absence leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

<div>We are raising funds to cover Freddy’s cremation service so we can give him the dignified farewell he deserves. <strong>Any additional funds will be used to help other friendly, dumped cats by creating a safe holding space for them — to prevent tragedies like this from happening again.</strong>
