<div>Help Us Transform Football at Wirksworth Recreation Ground!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Imagine a football ground that truly serves the whole community — modern changing rooms, a welcoming clubhouse, accessible facilities for everyone, and a pitch ready for the next generation of players.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>That’s the future we want to build at Wirksworth Recreation Ground — and with your help, we can make it happen.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Football has been at the heart of life in Wirksworth since the early 1900s, with football having been played on the Recreation Ground since 1921.

</div>

<div>From young players pulling on their boots for the first time to supporters gathering on the touchline, the Recreation Ground is a place where memories are made and community spirit thrives.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>But our facilities now need significant improvement to support the growing game and to provide the welcoming environment our players, volunteers and supporters deserve.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We’re raising funds to make several vital improvements, including:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>⚽ Upgrading the changing facilities -

</div>

<div>Our current changing rooms are outdated and no longer meet the needs of modern football. Improved facilities will create a better experience for players, officials and visiting teams.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Building a new hospitality clubhouse -

</div>

<div>A new clubhouse with indoor and outdoor seating will give supporters, families and volunteers a place to gather, socialise and enjoy matchdays together.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>♿ Improving disabled and general access

</div>

<div>Football should be for everyone. We will improve disabled access and overall entry routes to the pitch, making the ground more welcoming and accessible for all.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Creating hard standing for spectators -

</div>

<div>New hard standing areas will provide safe and comfortable viewing spaces so supporters can watch games throughout the season.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Improving the pitch for the future of football in Wirksworth -

</div>

<div>Pitch improvements will help us expand the club and support new teams, including girl’s football and a new Under-18s team in partnership with Wirksworth Colts starting this summer 2026!!

</div>

<div>And maybe it’s time for a Veterans side..!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>⸻

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Investing in the future of our community

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every pound raised will go directly into improving the facilities, with work planned to begin as soon as this summer.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>*********

</div>

<div>AND YOU.. have a chance to be involved. Alongside our fundraising page, we’re starting ‘The Centurions”

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>For anyone that donates £100 or more, you’ll become a ‘Centurion’ and will be acknowledged by a Centurion Plaque displayed for perpetuity inside the hospitality suite.

</div>

<div>Whether you wish to donate as yourself, as a family or a business, this is open to all and will be displayed on the plaque.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>*********

</div>

<div>——————

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This project is about more than football. It’s about creating a space where young people can develop, families can come together, and our community can continue to thrive.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you can, please donate today — and share this page to help us reach more people who care about the future of football in Wirksworth.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>⚽ Together, we can build something our whole town will be proud of.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Fundraising Targets

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>£3500 - brand new hospitality area, which will be in place before the start of Pre-Season. Creation of new u18s team.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>£6000 - New entrances to the ground, including disabled access. New seating outside the hospitality suite.
</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>£15,000 - New toilets for supporters. Hard standing for supporters across the top of the pitch. New maintained 5 aside pitch for training / youth games.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>£25,000 - Full new changing facilities, this is our final target, if we can make this figure we can then match funding with Derbyshire FA and create a new hub for local football. Including girls, youth, men’s.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Again, a massive thank you to all those that can help.

</div>
