<div>After 14 years of infertility and 4 rounds of IVF, I finally gave birth to my miracle daughter. After my emergency C-section, I was fighting for my life from massive blood loss, undergoing an emergency hysterectomy. Now, nine healthy embryos, my daughter’s future siblings, are frozen and waiting… but the only way to bring them home is through surrogacy.

<div>Hi, my name is Brittney, and this is the most personal and vulnerable thing I’ve ever written. My journey to motherhood has been long, painful, miraculous, and nearly cost me my life.

<div>For over 14 years, I battled severe infertility. My diagnoses of advanced endometriosis, DOR and PCOS meant that conceiving naturally was almost impossible. I went through endless tests, procedures, and heartbreaks. Doctors told me over and over again that it might never happen for me. But I refused to give up.

<div>Eventually, I turned to IVF, investing everything emotionally, physically, and financially into the process. And against all odds, it worked. I became pregnant with my miracle baby.

<div>But what should have been the happiest time of my life quickly turned into a nightmare.

<div>In the final weeks of pregnancy, I developed severe preeclampsia, a dangerous condition that can be fatal for both mother and baby. My blood pressure was dangerously high, and I was admitted for monitoring.
</div>

</div>
<div>Unbeknownst to anyone, including my doctors, I also had undiagnosed placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall. When it’s not discovered before delivery, it can lead to catastrophic blood loss and death.
</div>

<div>During delivery, everything spiraled. My placenta would not detach. As doctors tried to remove it, I began to hemorrhage massively. In minutes, I lost liters of blood. My body went into shock. Alarms were sounding, people were shouting, and I could feel myself slipping away.

<div>I delivered my daughter via C-section, and just twelve hours later, due to continued massive blood loss, my medical team performed an emergency hysterectomy to save my life. <strong>In one day, I became both a mother and someone who would never again be able to carry a pregnancy.</strong>

<div>That day, I met my daughter and almost died bringing her into the world. I survived, but my ability to ever carry another child was gone.
</div>

<div>Adding to the heartbreak, we already have nine healthy embryos from our IVF journey, frozen and waiting. Each one represents hope, possibility, and the family we’ve dreamed of. Knowing they are there, ready, but that my body can never carry them, has been one of the hardest realities to accept. Those embryos are waiting for me and now, the only way to bring them to life is through surrogacy.

<div>I am beyond grateful for my beautiful daughter. She is my miracle. But I can’t deny the ache of knowing she may never have the siblings I always dreamed of giving her. The only way to grow our family now is through gestational surrogacy.

<div><strong>Surrogacy is an extraordinary gift, but it’s also extraordinarily expensive.</strong> Between agency fees, medical procedures, legal costs, and compensation for the incredible woman who would carry our child, the total can easily reach $100,000–$200,000. After years of infertility treatments and medical bills, that’s a cost we simply cannot manage alone.

<div>What I want most is for my daughter to grow up with the bond only siblings can bring, <strong>but</strong> <strong>surrogacy is the only way to make that possible after infertility took so much from us.</strong> It’s about giving my daughter the siblings she would love and cherish. It’s about finally turning grief into joy.
