My name is <strong>Ariana Rosado Fernández</strong> (from Puerto Rico) and I am humbled to vouch for <strong>Sohad Abu Daqqa</strong>, a 32-year-old mother who is currently stationed in a tent in the<strong> Gaza strip</strong>. <strong>Sohad </strong>and I have been in communication for a year now as of August 2026.

<div>She<strong> </strong>is patient and kind and has asked for help as <strong>starvation</strong>, <strong>access to medication </strong>and <strong>basic needs for her children are scarce</strong>, as are tents and safe places to take take cover during the ongoing war/genocide.

<div>Here is her story in her own words: "I suffer from a <strong>chronic illness </strong>that requires <strong>daily treatment with a balanced diet</strong>. I support <strong>six people</strong>, including a child born during the war. We suffer <strong>from a shortage of milk and diapers</strong>. We have been <strong>living in a tent</strong> for three years. Our lives have been turned upside down. <strong>We have no source of income. I lost my sister, her husband, my brother, and everything we owned. </strong>

<div>My home, which I struggled for years to build, was destroyed.<strong> The tent is so small and cramped</strong> it can't even fit my children. We are constantly <strong>moving from place to place</strong> in search of safety, but life has become unbearably difficult.

<div>We don't have any of the necessities of life and we <strong>suffer a daily battle</strong> to provide even the most basic need<strong>s: milk, diapers, food, firewood, and even water</strong>.

<div>We are not just asking for donations, we are asking for <strong>hope.</strong> Every dollar can help and support us psychologically and morally so we can:
