<div>Catherine Galliford was a force — a trailblazer, a truth-teller, and a fiercely compassionate woman who spent her life standing up for what was right. As one of the RCMP’s most recognizable spokespeople, Catherine was admired for her integrity and courage — and later, for her bravery in speaking out about systemic issues that helped pave the way for change.

<div>Beyond her public life, Catherine was deeply loved by her circle of friends and chosen family. She had a sharp wit, a huge heart, and an unwavering belief in justice and kindness — especially for those most vulnerable.

<div>In her later years, Catherine found peace in solitude, surrounded by the love and care of two extraordinary women: Barb and Shelly, a mother–daughter team who became her caregivers and companions. Their devotion allowed Catherine to live with the independence and dignity she deserved.
</div>

<div>Proceeds from this fund will be shared between Barb and Shelly, in recognition of their compassion and commitment, with a portion donated to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC) — a cause close to Catherine’s heart, and one she championed throughout her life.
